Today is Day 16 of the challenge and going into the 4th week.  The challenge has proved interesting in having its share in technical goofs, there were holes in the rules, celebrities are playing, and of course winners & losers.

The 3rd weekly winner this week is Ran Stackman (23 yrs old), a stockbroker from Flagler College.  His strategy was to follow conference calls & earnings to select stocks & select the ones that no one else was looking for.  One such stock was Fremont General Corp. (FMT).

Celebrity Trader James Crowell has been making a big difference winning the bonus bucks challenges.  He currently has $1,039,448.26 in the challenge.  I definitely agree with profiting on the bonus bucks.

 I was able to move 4% up the rank & 14,162 places up the chain.  This is a big leap for answering just 2 questions.  I will definitely make sure I get on every challenge question daily.

 As I’ve been noticing daily, stock market has been having its rallies & then some pretty bleak days, having an up & down effect.  Good news & bad news.  But what is moving the market is just that, “news.”  This “Housing Market” issue isn’t helping that much at all.  Some people say it’s time to buy, some people say it’s time to sell.

My take is that if you are a young investor seeking to invest in real property investments, the time to purchase in investment property is now.  It’s a buyers market in many major cities as well as in the back woods of surburbia.  The reason is that younger investors, ages 18 - 30 still 1.) have plenty of years for an upswing on the market, 2.) the market will eventually improve, and 3.) investors have the opportunity to negotiate great deals.

For the older generation of investors & owners, it’s best to look at either 1.) refinancing for a better deal, 2.) down-grading their property to a lesser investment, or 3.) selling their current properties as is & re-purchasing multiple, and lower value properties.  I think for the older investor, the thought process would be to “Re-Start” as if you had to do it all over again.  This will allow you to start fresh & not go through the headaches you may be going through now.
