Americas Next Producer: What if you were the next Mark Burnett?

Next Top ProducerThis new reality TV show will definitely be a hit.  With video technology on the rise, & user friendly video editing software, such as JumpCut, along with video distribution platforms, like VEOh, Blip.TV & Brightcove, an opportunity with TV Guide Channel’s “America’s Next Producer” will provide a platform for any aspiring film producer to launch their career.

To enter, you have to submit a video tape & that reel should answer two questions:

1.  What do you think a producer does?

2.  Why are you going to be a good producer?

The TV Guide Channel will be hosting for this show. They are searching for the next Mark Burnett (Survivor, Apprentice, The Restaurant & The Casino), the next Jerry Bruckheimer (DeJaVu, Pirates of the Carribean, & National Treasure), or even the next J.J. Abrams (Alias & Lost).  The goal is to find the producer of the next hit shows, created by aspiring & wanna-be producers.

Reality TV is in need of a fresh & innovative show.  I think this show will not only cater to aspiring writers & producers but also the blogosphere & videobloggers who think they are the hottest thing since AskANinja!

The show will feature contestants from diverse backgrounds & they will compete each week in an elimination round.  The show is to air for 10 weeks, where the contestants will face challenges & showcase their creativity.  The prize package includes $100,000, a production office in Hollywood & first-look rights with TVGuide Channel.

This new reality tv show will definitely be interesting.  The level of creativity interesting as the contestants as new producers will be under intense time frames to convince themselves, an audience & their judges that they will be able to create America’s Next Hit Show.

I like the show allot. One thing i noticed is how some producers have an attitude that they are the best. I’ve been called arrogant at times and they say I have a huge ego, lol. I love producing and love to film and edit. So this show got my interest right away!!!
When is the next try outs for the show? I would like to submit a bio videotape.
