What a way to spike your hits & commenters to your blog. An interesting post over at Mike Arringtons TechCrunch pulls an early to some & on-time to many April Fool’s hoax, stating that the Crunch has acquired FuckedCompany, run by the infamous Phil Kaplan.
FuckedCompany was a blog that featured dot-com busted companies and […]

When Kyle & Jill MacRae began their dot-com start-up in July 2005, they had no idea of how to assess the future, given the type of business they were in. Kyle MacRae left his freelance journalism job as well as a lucrative technical publishing career to work a schedule that was 25 hours and 8 […]

Who said that
Scrapblog was offline? Well, you can get an inside look into what the new Scrapblog is all about. I got a chance to get an inside look from the CEO himself, Carlos Garcia. Carlos takes us into the world of what you can do in the new Scrapblog. Tycoons Row got a the behind the scenes shoot during the MIT Enterprise Forum demo held at Miami University held this March.
I was a user of Scrapblog when it first came out. My initial goal with it was to document my story through photos. It was an easy system to use, but there wasn't much I could do with just a scrapbook of pictures. With the old version, I could throw up a few photos & add some additional graphics. This was the extent of my use with the old version. It wasn't appealing, but I could definitely see the potential.
Now, the new Scrapblog has astounded me. The functionality of the additional applications & what you can do with your photos is superb. One of the best features is that you can actually add video in the Scrapblog. Through the new Scrapblog you can make your stories & photos come alive.
I think this service will definitely appeal to the wedding crowds & parties. If only this concept can be leveraged with the new AppleTV, then this will definitely be a superior service compared to similar web properties such as
BubbleShare &
Slide.
Scrapblog never went through an angel round of investment prior to this new version. Just this month, they have received their first round of funding. They were privately financed through Carlos first company, Nobox v2.0.
