Dr. Michael Wesch, assistant professor of cultural anthropology at Kansas State Univ, shows us internet evolution. The professor teaches students about of Media Ecology and Cultural Anthropology - mediated culture. This video explores in about 4 min & 30 seconds how we as a culture have gone from the “Pen being mightier than the sword,” to “code & Web2.0″ as the universal paradigm.
It’s interesting to note how man created machines, but now it seems as though the machines are using us. It’s not about just linking information, it’s linking the person (politically correct) to the machine & teaching the machine to connect to people. So in effect, we have taught the machine to use us to link to each other, forming in some respects a new culture amassed & accepted by millions of people thinking and sharing.
Blogging is a lifestyle.
