This new company is where the reality-triangle show “Cheaters” meets Social Networking. The site where if you are a man, and you go on a date with a woman, you better hope that it turns out well. Otherwise, the whole world may know if you couldn’t fit the bill, litterally. This site has definitely taken the feminist movement to the next level.
Don’tDateHimGirl.com is a social networking site with a niche audience - angry females, (well not just angry females
). It’s a community based site where women can come to share information regarding their relationships, dates, and dish the dirt on men. It’s been called the Online Dating Credit Report on Men. Founder, Tasha Joseph, of TJC Media Group, registered the site in 2002. It’s a free service, and women as well as men can be involved on this site. DDHG provides a chat service, as well as a forum for members to dish out the daily dirt on cheating men.
Mission
As I see it, the mission of the site is to be the ultimate resources and safe community environment for women to share their personal relationship experience.
Vision
The vision of TJC Media Group along with DDHG is to expand the media properties into other niches, such as DontDateher Man or DDHG for Australia. Also, the vision would be to create a network of portals to bring people together for relationships and advice on relationships. Currently, the site has a Question & Answer panel, a podcast channel.
The site boasts 15 million pageviews monthly. According to a CompeteSnapshot, the site had tremendous rankings when DDHG was in a legal battle with Todd Hollis and his charges of defamation against DDHG in June of 2006. However, the legal team for Joseph stated the site & company was protected by Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act. This means that providers of interactive services cannot be held liable as a publisher. Other after-effects from this legal battle has made the site even hotter. Todd Hollis & Joseph aired on an episode of Dr. Phil in Sept. 2006.
