U.K. based company, Zubka, launched in 2006 puts the business of recruiting into the hands of anyone with an internet connection and a desire to help people find jobs. Zubka allows one to search for jobs, but even better, it allows you to refer others for jobs and a Zubka member can actually receive a money from it.
Recruiting is a lucrative business. Just see all the job boards that have been popping up all over the internet to the offline presence of recruiting agencies. The great thing about Zubka is that it is targeted towards people who know other people who may be in the market for a new opportunity. In effect, a referal can connect with a prospect and a hiring agency. When the person gets hired, the refreral can get a cut of the action up to 8%. For example, a $50,000 job placement can get a referral of $4,000 USD.
Essentially, if you have a strong network of friends, and if the economy is heating up, with Zubka, you can essentially profit from the contacts you know. You can listen to a podcast of by co-Founder, David Shieldhouse.
Zubka will be successful based on the quality of the database of jobs it holds as well as the active referers helping prospects find placements. The company generates revenue by charges for posting job vacancies onto the Zubka Job Board. Companies or agencies acting as the Hirer gets charged a fee by Zubka and a Reward Fee by the referer. I searched the whole database & noted only one job based in the U.S.
