Mojopages.com (Alpha) aims to have 15 million businesses in an online directory combine with a social network
ing platform to become “YellowPages 2.0.” Mojopages, allows you to share ratings, reviews and connect with friends and is focused on businesses within your community. The difference is that the businesses in the community are branded by the people, as they are the ones providing their personal feedback and opinions on particular businesses.
The company is spearheaded by young entrepreneur, Jon Carder of San Diego, California. He’s known for having entrepreneurial “ADD”. He has successfully started and operated multiple ventures, including an online baby products business (Baby’s Heaven: started at 19 yrs old), a mortgage leads company (ClientShop.com: started at 23 yrs old) which became one of San Diego’s business journals list of the “Fastest Growing Private Companies. In 2004, Carder grew ClientShop.com to revenues of $5.41 million.
Mojopages is doing something unique as they launch their start-up. They actually took a lesson from the movie, “Startup.com” and created there own documentary “30 Days to Launch: A Real Look Into the Life of a Startup.” You will actually get to see presentations, meetings with the team members, brain storming sessions, and even results from their visits with venture capitalists.
